Medical Terminology

A report written by a physician that describes your medical condition can be tough to comb through.  Why do doctors and nurses feel they need their own language to communicate with?

This unit will study the terminology that is used in the medical field and prove it an effective form of communication.  Through understanding the meaning and context of prefixes, suffixes, and root words, a greater and more accurate understanding of injuries and diagnoses can occur.

Beyond reviewing medical terminology, this unit will also examine the levels of organization and systems found within living organisms.
