Matter & Measurement

Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.  In this unit, we will explore matter and classify it as atoms, elements and compounds.  We will also learn how to identify physical and chemical changes.

We won't stop there because matter is meant to be measured.  We will review the metric system and learn how to easily convert between units.  In addition, we will learn the importance of accuracy and precision and their impact on significant figures.
